I have always been motivated by service to my community. As a young woman, I was a volunteer firefighter. I went on to join the Coast Guard, where I served in Seattle, New York, San Diego, and Honolulu. I have volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, Deaconess Children's Services, food banks, and as a writing tutor at WSRU, a maximum-security prison in Monroe, WA.
My passion for service led me to earn a BA in Public Policy and go on to earn a Master's in Public Administration. However, I found too many bureaucratic limitations to what I was able to offer to the communities I was trying to serve.
So I sought out a different professional path that would allow me to more directly serve my community. I decided to go back to school to become a Massage Therapist and focus on integrative health care.
It is my pleasure to offer bodywork, mindfulness, and peer support.
Please reach out with any questions about how I use my life experience and training to inform my bodywork.
